What have I been up to?
In 2022, about a year and a half after landing my dream job, I left it. As someone who's self worth heavily related to my career, I realized my health and happiness needed to come from other sources. I made the decision to move to Salt Lake City in an effort to follow my passions and find a healthier work life balance.
Public Relations
Upon moving to SLC, I started working at a public relations agency centered in the outdoor products space. While there, I gained a much bigger appreciation for PR than I ever had working in a marketing department. I re-learned the power of simply reaching out, something that had previously gained me so many opportunities when learning photography. I also learned how to draft well written pitches.

While the scope of the work was truly fascinating to me, the trend for growth here scared me. I came from a place where I felt I got too much responsibility too quickly, and I didn't want to go through it again.

The clients I was assigned to were amazing, and the things I learned I still consider immensely valuable. I left my previous job due to a culture that didn't align with me and I made a new mistake of jumping into a situation I didn't know enough about.

Moterra Campervans
When Moterra Campervans approached me to freelance for them, I was excited by the idea of learning in a start-up environment. We ended up trying a full-time position that was contracted for three months as they were unsure if they had enough work for me full-time. I was able to work across multiple deparments from marketing and PR to customer service and sales. While I still ended up taking my hiatus after choosing to leave this role, I still found the experience to be valuable and inspiring. Workin' w/ friends
I chose to take my hiatus in the bakery on purpose. Not only did I have some experience in a bakery, but I wanted to interact with customers again. It has required lots of early mornings, as I'm usually one of the first there, but that comes with the perk of being done by 2pm. With my free time in the afternoon I've been re-learning what makes me tick, as well as helping friends with their passion projects!
