My Work at Moterra

This role taught me a ton about marketing towards a new demographic and inspired me to take the steps towards starting my own side business. Also, my graphic design skills were put to the test!

PR and partnerships

Immediately upon starting I came across an app called 57hours. They seemed to have a very similar demographic to us and even had a few folks in common with our leadership. I ended up setting up a partnership where we sponsored an "Adventure Talk" and giveaway. This effort garnered email subscribers which was a main goal set for me.

Emails & Blogs

One of Moterra's most successful ways to drive sales was through email. During my time there I wrote and designed about two emails per month to a list consisting of over 5,000 emails. I also wrote and designed several blogs in Wordpress as part of their SEO strategy surrounding national parks.

Asset Design

My most extensive design project beyond email and blog headers was to design and build a media kit. This kit consisted of 15 pages highlighting typical information needed by journalists and partners as well as curated images to be used outside the brand.
